Java Developer (TS/SCI with polygraph)

Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced, results-oriented, mission-driven Java Developer with specialized focus on Data Engineering to perform data conditioning and quality assurance. Candidates will collaborate across service provider organization to support software engineering efforts geared to support customer National Security objectives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Utilize java to support of data conditioning and normalization for ETL cloud based environment
• Develop scripts to automate ETL operational functions.
• Conduct daily operations and monitoring/manage pipelines to ensure performance and continuity of data to downstream systems.
• Identify enhancements to existing ETL processes
• Foster adopting new transformative technologies while maintaining operational continuity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and downstream systems to ensure successful operations and engineering efforts
• Participate across SAFe Agile framework
• Create and maintain documentation

Qualifications

Required:

• Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance to be considered
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering (additional years of experience can be substituted for degree)
• Hands-on development experience using Java, JavaScript, and Python
• Expertise using and ingesting data into SQL and NoSQL database systems
• ETL experience, to include formats such as XML, JSON and YML and normalizing data and high-volume data ingestion.
• Familiarity with the NEXIS platform

Desired:

• Familiarity with building containerized services (e.g. via Docker)
• Familiarity with data conditioning
• Experience developing and maintaining data processing flows.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline
• Experience with Agile Methodologies and Kanban Framework
• Experience with utilizing relational databases including the use of MySQL and/ or Oracle for designing database schemas
• Experience with Linux, REST services, and HTTP
