Jewelry Designer/Sales (2 yrs exp)

Job description Collaborating with clients from rough sketches to final delivery of truly bespoke jewelry, designers at Green Lake maintain a diverse experience in a range of graphic arts, metalsmithing and sculpting disciplines. They make rings into reality. For engagement ring clients and brides-to-be, designers act on their interests and remain as a reliable link throughout the process of creation. • Maintain an ever-changing pipeline of creative work and challenging projects. • Advise clients on the best materials and services Green Lake can offer to help create or restore the perfect piece for them. • Advocate for individual client’s interests and positive experience above all, while protecting Green Lake’s integrity and commitment to expert craftsmanship. • Greet every visitor – in-store or online – with genuine hospitality. • Provide estimates on all work with promptness and accuracy. • Establish clear timelines and expectations with clients, and ensure they are met. • Keep your design area and overall studio a clean and professional environment. • Schedule appointments with in-store clients after the first meeting. • Work with CAD, production and gem lab departments to guarantee pieces are finished to the client’s expectation. Requirements 1-2 years minimum experience designing fine jewelry or supporting jewelry design within a large studio with high production volume. Bachelor’s degree in design, fine art, related degree OR equivalent experience. Previous success and continued passion for collaborative sales and exemplary customer service. Strong gemology acumen with confident working knowledge of noble metals in bridal wear. A portfolio of conceptual work and a demonstrated ability to sketch. Highly organized with attention to detail. Ability to take initiative and assume ownership on numerous projects within a fast-paced environment. Strong sense of fashion, an amazing sense of courteousness.
