Journeyman Carpenter

Job Summary: The Journeyman Carpenter is a skilled tradesperson responsible for executing high-quality residential carpentry work on home improvement projects across San Antonio. This role includes framing, trim, and finish work, along with custom installations and structural repairs. Journeyman Carpenters must work independently, support team members, and ensure each project meets Zooby Neighborhood Superheroes' standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: • Read and interpret work orders, scopes of work, and basic blueprints • Complete framing, trim, door/window installation, and general wood repair with precision • Perform finish carpentry including baseboards, crown molding, shelving, cabinetry, and built-ins • Maintain job site cleanliness, tool care, and safe work practices • Collaborate with Project Coordinators and Field Managers to stay on schedule • Mentor helpers and carpenter trainees as needed • Document project progress and submit updates when required • Follow all safety protocols and company policies at all times Required Skills & Qualifications: • Minimum4–6 years of hands-on residential carpentry experience • Proficiency with hand and power tools used in framing and finish carpentry • Ability to independently execute repairs, installations, and build-outs • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work indoors/outdoors in varied conditions • Professional attitude and communication with team members and customers Preferred Qualifications: • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus • Experience with drywall patching, light demo, or painting is a bonus • Previous experience in a home improvement or remodeling company Work Environment: • Residential job sites across the San Antonio area • May involve local travel and flexible hours depending on job scope • PPE and company safety training required Compensation & Benefits: • Competitive hourly wage based on experience • Overtime opportunities • Career growth path and leadership potential • Eligible for PTO, paid holidays, and tool reimbursement (after probationary period) • Potential for company vehicle About Zooby Neighborhood Superheroes: We’re not just building homes—we’re building trust, excellence, and strong communities.
