Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced journeymen residential carpenter to join our team in the greater Seattle area. In this role you will undertake a wide range of residential remodeling and carpentry tasks. Our projects include some new construction but consist primarily of home additions, kitchen and bathroom renovations, custom trim installation, cabinetry, mill work, window installation, siding work and much more. You'll have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a skilled team. With a goal of consistently delivering high quality results to our customers. This role requires a strong background in various construction and carpentry tasks, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set that includes both hands-on experience and technical knowledge, enabling them to contribute effectively to a variety of projects. Duties • Perform rough and finish carpentry work on projects from demolition to final finishes • Execute trim and frame carpentry tasks with precision • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently • Read blueprints to understand project specifications • Tasks including but not limited to framing, doors, windows, siding, decks, baseboards, crown molding and custom trim • Install vapor barriers and flashing systems • Install cabinetry and construct built-in features • Remove damaged or defective sections of structures and repair or replace • Work off ladders, manlifts, scaffolding or other equipment • Maintain a safe and organized work environment • Communicate effectively with clients and team members Skills • Strong background in trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and general carpentry skills • Experienced with hand tools and power tools • Ability to lift 75 lbs plus • Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols • Ability to read blueprints effectively • Competent in residential carpentry • Capable of executing remodeling projects • Use power tools including but not limited to skill saw, table saw, reciprocating saw, jig saw, pneumatic nail gun, grinder, planer, chop saw and sanders • Proficiently use plumb bob, laser or spirit levels to verify trueness of structure • Posses knowledge of carpentry tools and equipment as well as ways to maintain them • Ability to do math and take measurements/read a tape measure Qualifications • Minimum 6 years of carpentry experience preferred • Strong background in remodeling and finish carpentry Benefits • 7 paid holidays • 5 days of PTO • Potential for medical benefits This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team environment while contributing to diverse projects that require craftsmanship and attention to detail.
