Journeyman Electrician

Overview Locally owned and operated Electrical/Low Voltage Commercial Contractor is seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial electrical work experience, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with various electrical tools and equipment. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in a commercial settings. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues. • Ensure compliance with NEC standards and local electrical codes during all installations and repairs. • Perform high voltage and low voltage wiring tasks as required. • Conduct renovations involving electrical work, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements • Proven experience as an electrician in commercial setting. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications. • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation effectively. • Experience in construction site environments with a focus on safety practices. • Knowledge of renovation processes related to electrical installations is a plus. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills are a must. • OSHA 10 and a valid driver's license.
