Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs within various settings, including commercial and industrial environments. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Duties • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures. • Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively. • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure that electrical work is completed efficiently and safely. • Perform inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs. • Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance. • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians as needed. Skills • Proficiency in using hand tools related to electrical work. • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and the ability to build from detailed plans. • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations. • Experience working as an industrial electrician or in similar roles within construction sites. • Basic knowledge of frame carpentry is a plus for integrated projects. • Versatile maintenance person skills that contribute to overall project completion are advantageous.
