Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with a focus on safety and efficiency. This role involves working on various construction sites, performing installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and schematics, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), and utilizing a variety of tools to complete tasks effectively. Duties • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and resolve issues. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various electrical tasks. • Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to execute projects accurately. • Perform renovations involving high voltage and low voltage systems as needed. • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Experience • Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician is preferred. • Familiarity with electrical codes (NEC) and safety standards is essential. • Experience in construction site environments is highly desirable. • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of electrical schematics is required. • Background in frame carpentry or maintenance person experience will be considered an asset. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
