Position:Journeyman Electrician
Unified Personnel is looking for Commercial & Industrial Journeyman Electricians.
Must have current TDLR Electrical Journeyman License
Required Language: Must be able to speak English or be Bilingual
Responsibilities:
· Running EMT Conduit for Commercial & RIGID / Threading pipe for Industrial
· Diagnose and repair automated equipment and control systems.
· Test a range of electrical equipment (including AC/DC drives, motors, and controls) using standard testing tools while monitoring system performance.
· Design and layout electrical circuits; install fixtures, wiring, conduits, motors, and other electrical components.
· Install rigid conduit, pull wire, and terminate motors and motor controls.
Qualifications:
• Experienced in EC CODE Hospital construction standards – EMT / Dependable - Texas Licensed
• Valid TDLR Journeyman Electrician License
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed electrician
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient in using electrical tools and equipment
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications
• Perform inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with local regulations and codes
• Maintain safety standards and ensure proper handling of equipment and materials
• Lead and mentor apprentice electricians and other team members
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing professional recommendations and advice
Summary
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings for commercial, and industrial environments. Your core skills in using hand tools, voltmeters, and power tools will be essential in executing tasks efficiently. With a Journeyman License and relevant experience in blueprint reading and high voltage systems, you will ensure compliance with NEC standards.
