Journeyman Electrician

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and reliable Journeyman Electrician to join our team for ongoing and upcoming renovation projects. --- Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 7 years of on-the-tools experience in residential renovations. This is not an entry-level position — we need a professional who can work independently, diagnose electrical challenges on-site, and deliver clean, efficient, and code-compliant installations in luxury environments. --- Key Responsibilities: Install new outlets, receptacles, switches, and circuits Tap into existing outlets and runs without damaging finished walls Install all types of modern and classic light fixtures, including flush mounts, chandeliers, recessed lighting, and track lighting Install and balance ceiling fans of all types (surface mount, remote-controlled, etc.) Read and interpret electrical layouts, finish plans, and spec sheets Troubleshoot electrical issues during demolition, rough-in, and finishing phases Perform work neatly and safely, leaving no visible damage or mess in completed living spaces Collaborate with our project managers, carpenters, and finish trades to ensure seamless jobsite progress --- Minimum Requirements: At least 7 years of hands-on, on-the-tools residential electrical experience (this is strictly enforced) Deep knowledge of NYC building codes, residential wiring, and panel loading Strong experience working in active, high-end homes or luxury apartments Must have own tools and reliable transportation Punctual, reliable, and accountable — no exceptions Professional appearance and communication skills when interacting with clients or GC Ability to work efficiently while maintaining clean and high-quality results --- Preferred Qualifications: OSHA 30 Certification NYC Electrical License or proof of apprenticeship completion Experience working in co-ops, condos, or brownstones Experience with smart home lighting systems (Lutron, Leviton, etc.) --- What We Offer: Steady, ongoing work with a well-respected renovation company On-time payments Organized job sites and support from experienced project managers Opportunity to work on some of the most beautiful residential properties in NYC --- How to Apply: To be considered, send a brief summary of your experience, your name and contact info, and photos of any relevant work (if available).
