Journeyman Electrician

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both low and high voltage electrical systems, with the ability to work on various projects ranging from residential to commercial installations. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, as well as the capability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Duties • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). • Perform troubleshooting on electrical systems, utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment. • Execute low voltage and high voltage wiring tasks, ensuring all installations are safe and efficient. • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including industrial electricians and commercial electricians, to complete projects on time. • Utilize hand tools and power tools proficiently for various electrical tasks. • Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems in buildings. • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become problems. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols. Experience • Proven experience as an electrician, preferably with a focus on residential industrial and commercial settings. • Familiarity with frame carpentry is a plus, enhancing versatility on job sites. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation techniques for both low voltage and high voltage applications. • Ability to effectively use hand tools and power tools specific to the electrical trade. • Experience reading blueprints and schematics is essential for successful project execution.
