Job Description
DEEM is looking for an experienced Commercial Electricians for Contract department specializing in commercial projects. Our focus is on quality workmanship, safety, and professional service.
Position Summary:
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. You will work closely with project managers, apprentices, and other team members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to code.
DEEM is a commercial mechanical and electrical company offering HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Refrigeration, Industrial Piping, Building Automation, and Sheet Metal Installation and services. We are centrally located in Indianapolis, Indiana with satellite offices throughout the Midwest down to the southeastern United States.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Ensure all work complies with theNational Electrical Code (NEC)and local regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Collaborate with other trades and supervisors to complete installations and service calls on time.
• Perform preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems.
• Supervise and mentor apprentices as needed.
• Complete daily reports, job logs, and safety checklists.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to read blueprints, wire, terminate, troubleshooting devices as needed
• Must have a clean driving record and possession of valid driver’s license
• Must be willing and able to pass a drug screen and background check
• TDLR License

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
