Job Description
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
Duties: - Install and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and electrical panels. - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to ensure that electrical installations meet safety and building codes.
Perform electrical work on high-voltage and low-voltage systems, including electrical connections, wiring, and testing. - Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters and framers, to ensure that electrical systems are installed in accordance with building plans and local regulations. - Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on commercial construction sites, using hand tools and other specialized equipment. - Renovate and upgrade electrical systems in existing buildings, ensuring that all work is done safely and efficiently. - Install and maintain low-voltage systems, such as security and communication systems. - Work at heights and in confined spaces, as necessary. - Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly and safely. Experience: -
At least 4 years of experience as a journeyman/journeywoman electrician in a commercial or industrial setting. - Experience with commercial electrical systems, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems. - Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations. - Experience with frame carpentry and maintenance person tasks, as needed. - Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces. - Excellent hand tool skills. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents. - Experience with electrical system renovations and upgrades. Pay: $30.00 - $150.00 per hour
