Journeyman Plumber

Now hiring experienced Journeyman Commercial Plumbers. Iron Horse Companies is seeking individuals experienced in commercial new construction, tenant improvements & remodels. Applicants should be motivated self-starters, show a good attitude, have a clean appearance, and be able to work well with others. Projects will require layout and installation of cast iron, PVC and ABS sewer, vent and roof drain piping. Layout and installation of copper, CPVC, and PEX water distribution piping. Threading, layout, and installation of steel gas piping. Assembly, installation, and start-up of various plumbing fixtures, equipment, and components. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Experience in Commercial plumbing (5+ Years) • Experience in Layout • Must know and understand all applicable federal, state, and local codes and be able to apply them in a practical manner on each job. • Good analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals. • Work with and train/help any plumbers, helpers who may be assigned to work with you. • Clean and clear the work area after the job has been completed. • Excellent customer service skills with a desire to exceed customer expectations and with co-workers • Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time and within budget. • Attend required department meetings and company or contractor training as required. • Exhibit professional conduct at all times, whether at the job site or driving company vehicles. • Understanding, recognizing, and complying with OSHA safety regulations QUALIFICATIONS: • High School/GED • Current plumbing license (Preferred) if you are a licensed Journeyman/Journeyperson in any of the listed states above, please indicate that with your application • Understanding of the current regulations within the field • Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level • Able to work both independently and as part of a team • Must have reliable transportation • Journeyman Commercial Plumbing Experience (4+ years) TOOL REQUIREMENTS: • Torch • 12” crescent wrench • Copper cutter (up to 2”) • ABS / PVC cutter (up to 4”) • Tape measure 25’ • Tape measure 100’ • Channel locks (1 large, 2 regular) • Lineman pliers • Acetylene torch regulator, hose & tip • Cordless kit (drill, Sawzall, impact) • Grade level 12” • Mini sledgehammer • Framing hammer • Torque wrench • Screwdriver set • Allen wrench set • Trim wrench • Pipe wrenches (At least 2) COMPANY PERKS: • Paid Time Off • Paid Holiday’s • Medical, Vision, Dental & 401k • Continuous Training • Career Growth Potential • Company events (Holiday party/BBQ) Se Habla Español - 480-830-2865 Opt. 6 Iron Horse Companies is proud of their DRUG FREE work environment.
