Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.

About the Role

Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role involves supporting the finance department in monitoring and controlling costs, assisting in income-related tasks, and contributing to financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

What You Will Do

• Assist in preparing monthly accruals and journal entries in the accounting system, in line with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Coordinate monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all outstanding reconciling items are investigated and resolved.
• Monitor and analyze costs, ensuring they align with budgets and forecasts.
• Collect and verify inventory counts from departments and ensure data accuracy.
• Participate in the full inventory count and spot-checks, ensuring inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with department heads to address variances and identify cost-saving measures.

What You Bring

• A minimum of 3 to 12 months of experience in a related position, preferably in the hospitality industry .
• A strong understanding of financial systems and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
