We are seeking a high-potential and self-motivated junior accountant (accounting analyst or equivalent) to join our small but mighty accounting team. You will play a crucial role in optimizing month-end close and financial audits as well as supporting the internalization of the accounting functions incl. ERP implementation. This is a unique opportunity to actively contribute to the build-out and maturation of our accounting practices as we enter the next phase of rapid growth and ambitious expansion goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare accurate journal entries and perform accounting reconciliations as part of the month-end close process

• Work closely with our third-party accounting staff in Brazil and the US

• Participate in the semi-annual/annual audits providing necessary documentation and support

• Support the consolidation process for multiple entities

• Conduct detailed account analyses identifying variances and explaining trends / fluctuations

• Support all aspects of compliance matters incl. audit tax and regulatory filings

• Assist in the deployment of third-party accounting software esp. SAP S4/Hana and become a key user

• Engage in cross functional projects to drive improvements in related processes

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting;

• CRC or on track;

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high-growth tech companies preferably Banking or FinTech startups

• Solid understanding of accounting procedures and principles (Brazilian GAAP / IFRS essential BACEN GAAP / COSIF a plus)

• Prior experience with general ledger functions and month-end close process

• Strong Portuguese and English communication skills both oral and written

• Proficiency in SQL and MSOffice/ GSuite packages (specially Excel/Sheets)

• Keen interest in learning new processes and implementing the latest technology

• Team player with outstanding communication skills in a remote work environment

• High level of organizational skills to prioritize & handle multiple tasks on short notice in a face-paced environment
