• Build prototype solutions by identifying, fine-tuning, and integrating models using Python and other data science tools.
• Analyze the technical performance (accuracy, speed, scalability) and economic tradeoffs (compute cost, maintenance, ROI) of different model approaches.
• Work with engineering partners to translate prototypes into scalable, secure, and supportable enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with IT to develop robust and compliant deployment plans, aligned with Bayview's enterprise architecture.
• Monitor the performance and adoption of deployed Al solutions; collect usage data, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to ongoing product refinement based on feedback and impact analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or statistical modeling (mortgage industry experience is a plus).
• Exposure to mortgage data, investment modeling, or financial services systems is a plus.
SKILLS:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of evaluating competing technical solutions based on practical constraints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for model development and empirical analysis is required.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and AI/LLM platforms (e.g., OpenAI, HuggingFace) is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
