Junior Art Director - Bridging Creative Strategy and Design

Position Overview:

We are excited to welcome a Junior Art Director who is ready to embrace a dynamic hybrid role, seamlessly blending creative strategy and design. In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our creative team and play a pivotal role contributing to our strategic vision.

You will be a crucial part of our creative strategy and design execution. As our luxury beauty client's needs evolve, we are seeking a dynamic individual who can seamlessly blend strategic thinking with design expertise. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Art Director and partner agencies to create compelling assets that resonate with our audience.

Responsibilities:

Creative Strategy & Design:

  • Collaborate with senior team members to understand business objectives and translate them into innovative design concepts.
  • Collaborate with the Art Director to translate business and marketing strategies into visually captivating design concepts.
  • Support our luxury beauty client's e-commerce strategy by tweaking assets that align with their brand and effectively communicate their message to the US audience.
  • Work within the context of a high-volume environment (15 brands) to adapt and supplement global assets, ensuring they resonate with the local market.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to create mock-ups and execute designs that contribute to an enhanced e-commerce experience.

Project Management and Collaboration:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Project Managers, Art Workers, Motion Graphics Artists, and more, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Act as a bridge between our client's Amazon team, negotiating strategies, and the creative team for content launch and maintenance.
  • Assist in crafting and refining business strategy assets for our luxury beauty client's evolving needs.
  • Translate creative briefs into compelling designs across print, digital, and multimedia campaigns.
  • Craft visually appealing layouts, graphics, and presentations that resonate with target audiences.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure that designs adhere to brand guidelines and project objectives.

Agility and Hybrid Model:

  • Embrace an agility-driven work environment, where you'll navigate the middle layer of execution between strategy and creative implementation.
  • Support the art director by handling tasks that require strategic input while also assisting with executional aspects.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure assets align with our strategic vision.

Requirements

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in design roles with exposure to strategic thinking.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
    • Ability to create mock-ups and assets that reflect strategic direction.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and agencies.
    • Familiarity with e-commerce strategy and luxury beauty brands is a plus.
    • Basic understanding of design trends and industry best practices.
    • Exposure to design for digital platforms and emerging media.
    • Familiarity with project management principles and tools.

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
