We are searching for a talented and highly motivated Junior Designer to join our award-winning Brand & Strategy team in the Marketing and Communications department at Goodwin, a top-ranked global 50 law firm. The Junior Designer will be responsible for creating on-brand marketing materials encompassing a variety of media types across a wide range of touchpoints. The ideal candidate will have original creative ideas, a keen eye for detail, and be eager to develop their existing skillset while working alongside other members of the global Brand & Strategy team to champion Goodwin’s brand across all external and internal communication channels. What You Will Do: • Design compelling and effective marketing materials across a variety of media types (ex: web, print, email, social, video, etc.); implement our brand’s visual identity consistently across all materials • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for new campaigns and initiatives • Support the team in the execution of priority cross-functional campaigns and initiatives • Efficiently work through multiple design iterations based on internal and stakeholder feedback; leverage feedback from team members to hone skills and improve designs • Proactively suggest alternate design solutions to stakeholders to best address their needs Who You Are: • 1-3 years of professional experience in graphic/communication design • In-house/brand-side experience preferred; professional services experience a plus • Portfolio will be requested and is required as part of the application process • Strong brand and communication design skills • Ability to work through all stages of design from start to finish with impeccable attention to detail • Solid foundation in core design principles (ex: typography, color, layout, hierarchy); knowledge of print production and digital design best practices • Strong time management and multitasking abilities • Problem-solving aptitude and proactive approach • Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Knowledge of and interest in current design and marketing trends • Proficiency in industry standard software: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft 365; Canva, Ceros, Figma, After Effects knowledge a plus • Comfortable working in a PC environment • Hybrid office, 3 days in office required #LI-MS1 Benefits and More At Goodwin, you will discover your next career opportunity with a rewarding compensation package and comprehensive benefits, including: • Flexible work arrangements and hybrid work schedule • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Life and disability insurance • Retirement & Savings Plan • Emergency back-up child and adult care • Paid vacation, sick time off, and holidays • Professional development and career advancement opportunities • Employee recognition and reward programs • Employee wellness and assistance programs • Employee discounts and perks Consistent with the City of Los Angeles’ Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance an arrest and conviction record will not automatically disqualify a qualified applicant from consideration.
