Green hydrogen plays an essential role towards our net-zero mission. Hydrogen has widespread industrial and transport applications. Conventional hydrogen production from fossil fuels is accompanied by the release of large quantities of carbon dioxide. Our innovative technologies take renewable energy and water to produce green hydrogen with zero emission. We aspire to improve the efficiency, reduce the cost, and scale the manufacturing to meet booming green hydrogen market.
We are therefore seeking talented and highly motivated polymer chemist to develop and scale-up cutting-edge polymer electrolyte materials for Alkaline Liquid and Anion-Exchange Membrane water electrolyzer systems. We will work together to create groundbreaking solutions to transform our technologies for low-cost green H2production.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct experimental plans for small molecules and polymer synthesis, characterizations, and quality control at lab scale.
- Develop bench scale processes and establish validation protocols.
- Keep scientific records and prepare detailed reports.
- Assist in literature research and raw materials/supplier identification and qualification to support new products development.
- Maintain the laboratory including ordering and organizing materials and supplies, lab housekeeping and maintaining equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet project goals.
- Actively maintain and promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelors degree with minimum 2 years postgraduate experience in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Science or related technical field.
- Hand-on experience (including academic experience) in organic/polymer synthesis is desired.
- Capacity to demonstrate a general understanding of wet chemistry techniques and instrumental analysis such as FTIR, NMR, DSC, TGA, GPC, viscometry, and titration.
- Highly motivated with mechanical aptitude and hands-on ability
- Ability to quickly learn and practice new laboratory synthesis and characterization methods.
- Ability to accomplish assigned tasks with little or no supervision.
- Competency to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 a year - Full-time
Candidates should expect up to 15% international travel.
