Junior Tax Accountant

SWBC is seeking a talented individual to responsible for Federal, State, and Local tax compliance, accounting and planning. Essential duties include the following: • Assists in preparing federal tax workpapers and separate proforma returns. • Assists in the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly federal and state tax provisions by calculating certain book/tax adjustments. • Reconcile federal, state, and local tax accounts and prepare journal entries. • Utilizes federal tax return and other financial data to assist in the preparation of state income tax extensions and estimated payments. • Assists in the collection of state apportionment data. • Prepare sales and use tax returns and make payments in relevant jurisdictions. • Records property tax accruals and make payments to local counties. • Maintain tax depreciation system and reconcile to general ledger. • Updates and documents policies and procedures. Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications: • High school diploma required. College coursework preferred. • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an accounting-related job. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. • Excellent organization and communication skills.
