Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Christian, Kindergarten Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment. This is a Christian school and we are looking to hire someone with the same views that will teach the Bible and show them the love of Christ. This role involves implementing curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of young children, while also promoting literacy, math skills, and physical education. The Kindergarten Teacher will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of our students, ensuring they thrive academically and socially. Duties • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation. • Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs. • Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress in literacy, math, and other subject areas. • Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student interaction. • Mentor and guide students in their social and emotional development. • Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns. • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and other relevant data. • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational practices. • Experience with the abeka curriculum and teaching Phonics is a plus. Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field is required. • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably at the kindergarten level. • Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management. • Familiarity with standardized testing practices and early intervention strategies is preferred. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues. • Ability to proofread documents accurately and demonstrate strong writing skills for lesson plans and reports. • Experience in tutoring or providing library services is advantageous.
