Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef; Monday-Friday Only

It provides a predictable shift and predictable workload. We have an opening for a Full-Time Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef at a college cafe in Long Beach, CA. Job Duties include: • Oversight of cook staff • Preparation of foods for patrons, cafeterias and catering • Menu design and/or modifications as required, working with the Executive Chef • Responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food production and portion control, using standardized recipes • Responsible for appropriate quantities of food needed to meet menu requirements • Responsible to follow standards and methods as outlined in Policy and Procedures to promote high quality food and prevent food borne illnesses in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations.
