Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in restaurant event settings. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to create an efficient and productive work environment. This indivudual will provide support to ensure that all BOH processes and health codes are maintained and up to standard by caching, delegating, and guiding the kitchen staff. General Duties and Responsibilities: • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, training, scheduling, ensure staff is performing to standards. • Ensure all kitchen staff are properly trained and are following all food safety and sanitation guidelines. • Ensure kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently. • Monitor and maintain adequate kitchen inventory levels. • Assist in end of month and weekly inventories. • Ensure that recipes and food preparation instructions are followed correctly. • Monitor food quality and presentation. • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order. • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen development. • Assist in menu planning and development. • Run the kitchen while the chef and sous chef are not present. • Cover days off for Chef and Sous Chef. • Organize and run brunch on the weekends. • Ensure that all prep lists are completed, and duties are assigned to staff. • Ensure all local and state health department standards are met. • Act as a conduit for communication with front of the house. • Ensure that all food is served in a timely manner. • Ensure all employees are following safety workplace practices and reports unsafe work practices. • Ensures that all staff are adhering to the policies outlines in the employee handbook. • Always fosters a positive team and work environment. • Follow all local and state fire life safety guidelines. • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned. Experience • Proven experience in kitchen management or supervisory roles within the food service industry. • Strong knowledge of food production techniques and food handling practices. • Experience in managing a team, with excellent leadership skills. • Familiarity with event operations is a plus. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
