Job Description:
As a Technology Lead with knowledge as database administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. You will work with various database technologies, including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 6-8 years of experience as Oracle DBA
  • Install, configure, and manage Oracle Applications databases (EBS, CRM, HCM)
  • Ensure data consistency and accuracy within application databases
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to application functionality and data access
  • Apply application patches and manage database upgrades related to application updates
  • Optimize database queries and operations to support application performance
  • Coordinate with middleware teams to ensure seamless data flow between application tiers
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle Database Administration
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques
  • Understanding of database security best practices
  • Experience with backup and recovery strategies
  • Ability to troubleshoot database issues
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Installation and Configuration: Install, patch, and configure Oracle databases on servers.
  • Performance Monitoring and Tuning: Analyze database performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries.
  • Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup strategies, perform data recovery operations in case of failures.
  • Security Management: Define and enforce database security policies, manage user access and privileges.
  • Storage Management: Manage database storage, including tablespaces, datafiles, and archiving strategies.
  • Database Upgrade and Migration: Plan and execute database upgrades to newer Oracle versions.
  • Troubleshooting Database Issues: Diagnose and resolve database errors and performance issues.
  • Guide juniors in the team in technology aspects to ensure timely delivery.
  • Partial weekend coverage may be needed.
