Job Summary
The Labor Compliance/Local Hiring Administrator Support will assist in monitoring contractor compliance with labor laws, prevailing wage requirements, and local hiring mandates on public construction projects. This position involves reviewing certified payroll reports, maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting audits and investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
β’ Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with labor laws, prevailing wage requirements, and local hiring mandates
β’ Review and process certified payroll reports (CPRs) for accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations
β’ Maintain organized documentation and tracking logs to support labor compliance reporting and audits
β’ Assist in investigations related to potential labor violations, including wage restitution and coordination with compliance teams
β’ Communicate with contractors, unions, government agencies, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate information sharing
β’ Utilize LCPtracker or similar platforms for payroll verification, compliance tracking, and reporting
β’ Support verification of worker residency and documentation for Local and Targeted Worker Hiring Program compliance
β’ Provide guidance and technical support to contractors and staff on labor compliance procedures and requirements
β’ Stay current on regulatory updates affecting construction labor compliance and hiring practices
β’ Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and document management to support labor compliance operations
Required Skills/Abilities:
β’ Knowledge of construction regulations, labor laws, and compliance standards.
β’ Strong organizational and documentation skills.
β’ Experience with certified payroll, prevailing wage, or union requirements is often preferred.
β’ Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders, including contractors, government agencies, and community groups.
Education and Experience:
β’ Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
β’ Local and Targeted Worker Hiring Program experience at journey level preferred.
β’ Experience as a Labor Compliance Program Third Party Administrator (DIR) preferred.
β’ Certified LCPtracker Labor Compliance Professional or equivalent (Certified Labor Compliance Professional for Local Agencies - CalTrans/CalState Sacramento) is preferred.
β’ Travel up to 5%.
Working Conditions
This position offers a remote work environment, permitted remote work with reliable internet and availability during standard business hours, work schedule to be determined by supervisor. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move about the inside and outside of the location to access office equipment, etc. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a computer, copy machine, etc.
