About the position: This position will be assigned to the Moose Run Golf Course on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK..
This is a Seasonal position Not-To-Exceed 31-OCT-2024.
This position is Flexible, meaning you are guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Your schedule will depend on needs of the facility.

- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

- This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience which demonstrates knowledge of: large, complex riding mowers and similar types of specialized mowing equipment; skill in operating various controls and levers to maneuver equipment and lift, lower, adjust, engage, and disengage components or attached devices; skill in controlling and maneuvering large, complex riding mowing equipment; ability to independently complete assignments involving several steps, phases, or procedures; ability to follow written and/or oral instructions; ability to lift and move heavy objects weighing over 50 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment physical. Requires a valid driver's license. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

- Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Direct deposit is required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- A probationary period may be required.
- Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
