Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
The Junior Associate - Payroll is responsible for conducting payroll activities such, basic support in payroll activities, analyze and troubleshoot issues related to payroll, and support requests, questions from colleagues and stakeholders.
For this position it is required to have the ability to manage attention to details, controls execution, support Spain market, and work along with stakeholders to provide excellent and accurate customer service in timely manner.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support payroll accounts reconciliation process, identify variances and prepare the corresponding adjustment.
- Manage activities associated with regular execution of assigned payrolls, including collection and validation of inputs and error resolution.
- Process pre-payroll, on-cycle payroll, off-cycle payroll requests.
- Validate and balance payroll, process changes to correct errors or provide updates.
- Distribute required reports to stakeholders during and post payroll cycle
- Responsible for overall collection of payroll claims / overpayments / repayments working with HR, Legal and Payroll teams.
- Ensure all necessary audit processes are implemented and followed in order to assure Sarbanes-Oxley, external and internal audit compliance.
- Work with vendor, Digital, Finance and other teams as needed to ensure technology, integrations, GL interfaces and other system components are functional.
- Respond to colleagues' inquiries as referred by the HR Service Center.
- Serve as back-up for other team members as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical high school degree or University degree/ongoing University studies in Accounting or Finance
- 6 months up to 2 years of relevant functional accounting or finance experience
- Basic Knowledge MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Good written and verbal English & Spanish communication skills required
- Accounting Finance knowledge
- Desired experience in multinationals, shared services or finance related if applicable
- Communication and customer service skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
- Data analysis and calculations
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Workday, ADP, SAP or other common HCM, payroll and time/attendance systems preferred
