Job Responsibilities: Care for established lawns and flower beds by mulching, aerating, weeding, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls Operate powered equipment, such as mowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws Gather and remove litter Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, or other grounds features Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans Adhere to safety policies Maintain high quality workmanship Qualifications: Little experience needed; training provided Active listening Interpersonal skills Physical requirements of the job: Bending or twisting the body; keeping or regaining balance Making repetitive motions Standing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, squatting, walking and/ running Pushing or pulling objects Bending and stooping Climbing ladders, scaffolding, and stairs Grasping and squeezing Move or lift objects up to 75 pounds Environmental Elements of the job: Work outdoors in extreme heat or cold Exposed to high places Sounds or noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable Use herbicides, fertilizers, pesticides, and related products Exposed to hazardous equipment Exposed to minor burns, cuts, bites or stings Extremely bright or inadequate lighting Tools, equipment, and technology utilized for job: Lawn mower Rakes Pruners and shears Hedge trimmers Weed whackers Blowers Power saws: chain and pruning Hand or power tools Tillers Spreaders: mulch, rotary, and sand Wheelbarrows and wagons Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Health savings account • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Monday to Friday • No weekends Work Location: In person
