Laser Operator (2+ years experience required)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientedLaser Operatorto join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum oftwo years of hands-on experienceoperating laser cutting equipment in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. This role requires strong technical skills, particularly in setting and adjusting cutting parameters based on material type, thickness, and desired finish quality. Key Responsibilities: • Operate and maintain CNC laser cutting machines (fiber lasers) according to safety and quality standards. • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine appropriate cutting paths and specifications. • Set and adjust laser parameters(speed, power, frequency, gas pressure, focal point, etc.) for a wide range of materials and thicknesses. • Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy using measuring tools and adjust machine settings as needed. • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot basic issues to minimize downtime. • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure efficiency and precision. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations. Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of experience operating laser cutting equipmentin a production environment. • Proficiency in setting machine parameters for different cutting conditions and materials. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Familiarity with CNC programming or CAD/CAM software is a plus. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Work Environment: Fast-paced, hands-on shop floor environment requiring use of PPE and adherence to strict safety protocols.
