Lathe Machinist

REQUIREMENTS • High School education or equivalent as deemed sufficient by management. • At least five years CNC Lathe experience or as deemed sufficient by management. • Have own tools and toolbox (mics, indicators, calipers, etc) • Pre-employment drug screen • PUMA (21IT control) and Mori Seiki (6TB Control) experience preferred. • Programming experience preferred. Benifits: Benefits Offered: Medical Insurance | Dental Insurance | Vision Insurance | Paid Time Off | 401k | Safety bucks program!Job Summary: CNC Machinist Job Overview: You would perform set up, operation, and programming of complex machined components for many different industries.Skill Desired: RESPONSIBILITIES • Preview routers, drawings, and work instructions to obtain a thorough understanding of the work to be performed. • Setup CNC machines, carefully following work instructions. • Prove out setup by executing programs in a safe mode (dry-run), validate tool paths and tool settings to anticipate collisions or crashes. • Make necessary measurements to confirm parts conform to requirements. • Focus on the cutting process: monitoring tool movements, listening to machine and cutting sounds, and observing part security. • Refresh cutting tools as necessary to insure proper operation and prevent damage to parts. • Utilize cycle time to make additional quality checks and remove burrs created during the operation. • Report all deviations to the Team Leader as they occur. • Document and save all program changes and notations. • Report machine malfunctions and repair needs to the Team Leader • Keep work area clean and personal toolbox orderly. • Keep machine clean and perform daily maintenance duties.
