Lead AWS Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead AWS Engineer with a solid background in IAM and AWS Networking to join our team.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of our IAM and AWS network infrastructure using IaC (Terraform) and scripting (bash/python). Your deep knowledge of IAM and AWS network technologies will be crucial in responding effectively to a variety of AWS-related inquiries and in driving strategic initiatives within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance of a secure and scalable IAM and AWS network infrastructure
• Lead the development and implementation of best practices for IAM and network security, including multi-factor authentication, least privilege access, and network segmentation
• Design and implement solutions for complex network challenges using an advanced understanding of AWS networking services (VPCs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways)
• Lead cross-functional teams (security, DevOps) to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements
• Champion continuous improvement by spearheading automation, optimization, and the adoption of new technologies

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a deep understanding of IAM, complemented by expertise in AWS networking services such as VPCs, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateways
• 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Advanced background in network security, including hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud security architectures and best practices
• Strong skills in automation scripting using Python and Terraform, and qualifications in infrastructure as code principles
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
