Lead Carpenter Foreman (Union)

Location:Chicago, IL Employment Type:Full-time Minimum Qualifications • Minimum 8 years of journeyman experience in carpentry, with at least 2 years in a foreman/supervisory role Pay • Competitive pay based on carpenter union rates About Us Market Contracting Services is a General Contractor that serves the Chicago IL area and specializes in Gypsum Board Assemblies, Cold Formed Metal Framing, Wood Framing, Flooring, Painting and Coatings, General Construction Management, Countertops, Structural Steel, Ceilings, Wall Finishes, Finish Carpentry, Tile. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter Foreman to lead our crews and ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Responsibilities and Expectations • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications • Supervise and coordinate carpentry crews on job sites • Ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality expectations • Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and team members though email, Procore, and phone as needed • Organize daily work schedules and allocate tasks and personnel efficiently • Train and mentor carpenters and apprentices as needed • Track materials, equipment and needs to keep projects on schedule Additional Qualifications • Must be part of a local union • Strong leadership and communication skills • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and shop drawings • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and job site compliance • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills • Know how to manage a team of 5 or more • Be able to manage small to multimillion dollar projects How to Apply Submit your resume through Indeed or send directly [email protected] Please include relevant experience, certifications, and references.
