Lead Data Engineer

Job Description: 

Lead Data Engineer positions offered by CCI Corporate Services LLC (Atlanta, GA). Maintain frameworks in AWS for transitioning analytics solutions at different maturity levels between data science and operational teams. Implement cloud capabilities including data ingestion, data models, data structures, data storage, high-throughput data processing, data pipelines, and data monitoring at scale. Follow data engineering best practices with considerations for high data availability, computational efficiency, cost, and quality. Build and maintain environments in the cloud, processes, functionalities, and tools to improve all stages of analytics solution development such as proof of concepts, prototypes, and production. Automate manual processes into repeatable capabilities. Create and maintain containers to deploy analytics applications in cloud-based and on-prem platforms. Test new technologies, tools and data.

Minimum Requirements: 

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience programming with Spark, Python, Java, C++, Hive, or SQL. Also requires 6 years of experience: mentoring junior engineers; and programming with Source Version control software Git or Bitbucket. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience, the employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated. Requires 1 year of experience: utilizing Docker and Kubernetes; utilizing AWS services including Lambda, Step Function, CloudWatch, EventBridge, EC2, EMR, RedShift, SQS, RDS, IAM, or API Gateway; leading projects from conception to completion; and testing software with CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins. Position reports to Atlanta, GA office. Company offers flexible work from home schedule, but in-office work is required and individual must live within commuting distance of stated office.

Compensation includes a base salary of $128,544 to $164,839. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
