Lead Data Engineer with AWS

We are looking for a skilled Lead Data Software Engineer with AWS expertise to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data-driven software solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization's growth and success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative analytical solutions using Cloud Native, Big Data, and NoSQL related technologies
• Develop and implement Cloud/On-Premise/Hybrid solutions using best in the class data frameworks
• Work with product and engineering teams to understand requirements, evaluate new features and architecture to help drive decisions
• Build collaborative partnerships with architects, technical leads and key individuals within other functional groups
• Perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments and use this in designing quality technical solution
• Actively participate in code review and test solutions to ensure it meets best practice specifications
• Build and foster a high performance engineering culture, mentor team members and provide team with the tools and motivation
• Write project documentation

• 5+ years in several of the following AWS technologies: Glue, Amazon Elastic MapReduce (EMR), S3, Redshift, Kinesis, Databricks, Lake Formation, Athena, DynamoDB, Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Lambda, or Azure technologies: Data Lake (ADLS Gen2), Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Stream Analytics, CosmosDB, or GCP technologies: DataFlow, Dataproc, Dataprep, GCS, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, BigQuery
• Experience in leading small and mid-size teams, using Agile methodology
• Experience in some of the following frameworks: Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, Terraform
• Experience in SQL and some of the following: Python, Java, Scala, Kotlin
• Experience in some of the following: Kubernetes (K8S), Docker, Linux
• Must have experience in successfully implementing data-centric applications, such as data warehouses, operational data stores, and data integration projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that balance with creative approaches
• Ability to learn new and complex concepts quickly
• Strong experience with large-scale production databases and SQL
• Experience with ETL development (extractions, data load, aggregation, transformation)
• Must be able to take ownership of projects with a prominent level of attention to detail and priority
• Team player with a hands-on approach and attitude

• Experience with data modeling
• Familiarity with using business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Looker
