And now is looking for a highly skilled and experienced relational database engineer, preferably with PostgreSQL experience.

About the role,

You will,

• Support & work with various internal development teams:• Perform SQL related code reviews• Document guidelines & best practices• Performance tuning & optimization • Maintain the availability & health of the Dev/QA DB deployments• Designing, developing, and delivering Postgres related infrastructure for various applications/services to consume• Collaborate with various internal stakeholders: production DBAs, support teams, developers, testers, and architects• Propose recommendations for database optimization and improvements

Qualifications

About you,

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field• 5+ years of experience working as a Lead DB engineer/DB developer/DBA for relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL• Strong knowledge of UNIX/LINUX platforms• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting• Experience/familiarity with cloud-based computing platforms, preferably GCP• Ability to manage time effectively and deliver on commitments• Strong interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to operate well in a team environment and when under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Java platforms and additional middleware is plus (e.g., Apache, Tomcat, connection poolers, etc.)• Knowledge of managed database services such as CloudSQL or AlloyDB• Relevant certifications, such as Google Cloud/EDB
