About us FIXD breaks car problems down into simple and understandable terms, so drivers don't get taken advantage of when they go to a repair shop. We create helpful tools and resources for drivers so that they can feel confident and informed whenever they have a car-related problem. In order to drive sales and optimize ad spend, FIXD has a highly optimized checkout funnel, powered by an in-house e-commerce platform. It is built in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript and supports one-click checkout with post-purchase upsells, native support for subscriptions/recurring products, and strong analytics and tooling for experimentation. Who we’re looking for • A backend developer with the ability to think from an architecture and performance perspective • An engineer comfortable with experimentation and iterating quickly to find product-market fit, and the ability to understand the reasons behind requirements • A person who can communicate technical complexity in simple terms, who is analytical, and who has a drive to learn and iterate. What you’ll be doing • Developing new features and experiments • Improving existing applications for long-term growth, scalability, and reliability • Working closely with the Product and Marketing teams to help deliver features and provide feedback on feasibility and timelines • Working with a team of 3-5 engineers with a diverse skill set Key Skills • Ruby on Rails, RSpec • Postgres • Front-end component JS framework(s) e.g. Svelte, Vue, React, etc. • Experience with scaling, optimization for high reliability, and page speed • Designing object models and relations Bonus Skills • eCommerce platforms, e.g. Shopify • Direct-to-consumer marketing funnels • Payment gateways, particularly Braintree • Cypress UI testing • Marketing analytics tools, e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc. • GraphQL Benefits • 401k with employer’s match (5% dollar-for-dollar match) • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance • $250 per month to spend on anything that helps you do your job • Holidays, 20 days of Paid Time Off • Parental Leave Location We’re located in Midtown Atlanta, GA.
