As a hands on Lead Development Engineer (Server Side) for BestX product

the ideal candidate will be:

• Develop key parts of the multi asset analytics platform of BestX
• Contribute to designing and architecting tick, data access, feeds, and scalable analytic solutions.
• Exhibit superior skills in modern Agile, Cloud-based, Server side, DB, Development.
• Develop understanding in the area of Transaction Cost Analysis and key benchmarks required for MiFID and MiFIR
• Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the application and influencing technology decisions
• Responsible for taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through completion
• Responsible for establishing best practices, clean-code and design patterns.
• Be passionate about driving change through an organization
• A proponent of Test Driven Development always striving to Shift Left so as to facilitate effective CI/CD

Core/Must have skills

• 5+ years kdb+ development experience
• Expert in Python and/or KDB/Q
• Proficient in modern data science tools stacks (Jupyter, pandas, numpy, sklearn) with machine learning experience
• Good understanding of using Slurm or similar parallel computing tools
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related STEM field from top ranked University
• Proficient in quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling, statistics, regression, and probability theory

Hands-on experience working with AWS and/or other modern cloud based infrastructure.

Good to have skills

knowledge/expertise in FX/Fixed Income/Equity/ Equity Derivatives products

KDB

Exposure and understanding in one or more of the modern JavaScript build tool chain using things like node, npm, rush, yarn, webpack, babel, cyprus
