Be part of a team of engineers and machinists that develop innovative products and technologies within Honeywell Aero. Set up and operate all types of machine tools, lathes,mills, drill press, grinders, etc., and is capable of performing progressiveand highly diversified machinery operations necessary to support R&D andManufacturing facilities using safe work practices as defined by Honeywell.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform machining operations required to produce finished products from a variety of materials.
- Work from blueprints, specifications, job layouts, and written and/or oral instructions to facilitate the manufacturing of parts and assemblies by setting up, and operating a variety of machine shop equipment (i.e. CNC mills and lathes, wire EDM, etc)
- Provide machining support for the fabrication of components which range in size from miniature to very large
- Run CNC programs to produce parts to dimensional/tolerance requirements
- Work from sketches, blue prints and flow charts in fabrication and trouble shooting on R&D and Manufacturing processes.
- High School Diploma
- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
- Experience utilizing any combination of: CNC Lathe, CNC Machining Center, Bridgeport Mill, Mitsui Seiki CNC, manual machines, etc.
- Additional background in Mill / Wire EDM / Waterjet / Welding / Tooling
- Familiarity with Fanuc CNC Controls
- Have practical experience working with engineering equipment
- Be able to find effective solutions based on root causes; and apply six sigma procedures.
- Sound technical judgment and opinions.
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
- Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
