About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our team building IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration a leading SaaS-based integration platform recognized as a Leader in the Forrester Wave™ for iPaaS .
This product enables enterprises to seamlessly connect APIs applications events messaging files and B2B transactions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
As part of our engineering team you will design and develop high-performance scalable components using Java and Spring while leveraging AI-driven capabilities to enhance automation and productivity.
Your role and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain enterprise-grade integration components for IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration.
- Implement robust scalable solutions using Java Spring Framework and related technologies.
- Collaborate with product architects to integrate AI-powered features into the platform including agentic AI and generative AI workflows.
- Work on API management event-driven architectures and hybrid integration patterns.
- Optimize performance and reliability for SaaS deployments across multi-cloud environments.
- Ensure compliance with security governance and data sovereignty requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in coding testing and deployment.

Required technical and professional expertise
Required Skills & Experience
- 7–10 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong expertise in Spring Framework Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI projects such as:
- Integrating AI services (e.g. LLMs agentic AI generative AI).
- Building AI-driven automation or predictive analytics features.
- Experience with API lifecycle management RESTful services and event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-native development and hybrid integration patterns.
- Solid understanding of data security compliance and governance in SaaS environments.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in building SaaS products from scratch including architecture and scalability considerations.
- Proven track record of AI innovations in enterprise-grade software.
- Exposure to IBM webMethods or similar integration platforms.
- Understanding of AI ethics and responsible AI practices .
