Job Profile Title: Lead Engineering Services Technician

Location/ Division Specific Information- S07 / Austin, TX/ 1st Shift, hours: M - F 8am - 5pm - (occasional Weekends/ Evenings may be required)

How will you make an impact?-

The Lead Engineering Services Tech will assist the customer in addressing Quality and Customer Concerns for Jabil manufactured products. The Lead Engineering Services Technician will also address customer identified problems, working with the Jabil factory to ensure acceptance of the products, and is responsible for documenting any identified returns and/ or replacements.

What will you do? -

• Able to work independently to debug hardware by visual inspection and testing to verify functionality
• Able to assist in the completion of quality and product documentation
• Demonstrate the ability to multitask work assignments
• Provide support to the Quality Department through participation in the continuous improvement effort and promotion of a "Quality First" attitude
• Work directly with customers to identify concerns and achieve resolution
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

How will you get here? -

Education: Two-year technical degree in Mechanical or Electronics/Electrical Engineering is required

Experience:

Min. of 5 years of experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assemblies is required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages
• Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aids
• Ability to apply a common sense understanding to carry out multi-level assembly and disassembly instructions
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using quality metrics and systems
• Experience working directly with customers on behalf of your employer
