Lead Finish Carpenter

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with experience in various aspects of the trade. The Finish Carpenter will be responsible for completing high-quality finish work, including trim installation, cabinetry, and other detailed woodworking tasks. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Duties • Perform trim carpentry, including installation of baseboards, crown molding, and window casings. • Execute frame carpentry tasks as needed for structural support and aesthetic finishes. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete projects. • Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of designs. • Engage in concrete forming and plastering as required for various projects. • Conduct fabrication of custom wood pieces and fixtures based on project specifications. • Install cabinets, doors, and fixtures with precision to ensure functionality and aesthetics. • Participate in water damage restoration efforts, including mold remediation and repair work. • Assist with siding, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and other remodeling tasks as necessary. • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements • Proven experience in carpentry with a strong portfolio of completed projects. • Knowledge of construction estimating practices to assess project needs accurately. • Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and physical stamina to handle demanding tasks. • Experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not mandatory. • Proficiency in caulking, stucco application, metal stud framing, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and construction painting is a plus. • Ability to operate CNC machinery for custom fabrication projects is desirable. • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work performed. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. • A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
