Lead Finish Carpenter

Overview We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finish carpentry, with a strong focus on trim/doors/hardware. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can read blueprints and design drawings, perform various construction tasks, and ensure high-quality finishes in residential and commercial projects for both themselves and other crew members they are leading. The Finish Carpenter will work closely with other tradespeople, designers, job-site supers, and fellow team members to contribute to the successful completion of projects within deadlines. Responsibilities • Execute finish carpentry tasks including installation of trim, hardware, doors, and fixtures. • Manage and Lead projects, coordinating with site personal and direct supervisor to maintain project flow and meet specific project requirements. • Read and interpret blueprints/design drawings to determine project specifications. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively. • Collaborate with team members on construction site to ensure efficient workflow. THIS ONE IS CRITICAL FOR THIS ROLE • Conduct heavy lifting as needed for materials and equipment. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety. Qualifications • Proven experience in carpentry with a focus on finish work; door installs, trim work, hardware, etc… • Familiarity with door hanging, trimwork, custom trim carpentry, cabinetry installs, bath fixtures installation. • Strong knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites. • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 80 lbs) regularly throughout the workday. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for quality craftsmanship. • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
