Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Lead HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and some experience in field service. This role involves installing, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial properties. The technician will work closely with clients to ensure their HVAC needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
Installation
• Install new HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and ductwork, following all manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
• Connect systems to fuel and water supply lines and electrical components.
• Perform all necessary sheet metal and refrigerant line routing.
• Complete system start-ups, tuning, and charging to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Collaborate with other team members on larger projects.
Repair and Maintenance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
• Repair or replace worn or defective parts to restore system functionality.
• Conduct major repairs such as replacing heat exchangers, evaporator coils, water feeders, expansion tanks, as well as repairing major leaks in hydronic and HVAC systems.
• Educate customers on maintenance best practices and provide clear explanations of the work performed.
Customer Service and Administration
• Provide world-class customer service, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor with all clients.
• Use diagnostic tools and conduct thorough inspections to identify maintenance risks and system issues.
• Accurately document all service calls, maintenance performed, and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and workspace.
• Clearly explain repair and replacement options to customers, assisting them in making informed decisions
Qualifications
• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, skilled in both installation and service. (3 years minimum)
• Current EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred).
• Valid Illinois driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of advanced principles of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Physical capability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and work in confined spaces or at heights.

Work Environment
• This is a full-time position with the possibility of working evenings or weekends on-call.
• Work is performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions, including residential settings.
• We provide a company vehicle, tools, and uniform.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
