HVAC Lead Installer
Are you an experienced HVAC professional with a passion for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability? Join our team as a Residential HVAC Crew Lead, where you’ll play a critical role in leading, installing, maintaining, and repairing residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Your work will ensure optimal system performance and provide top-notch service to our valued customers.
What you'll do
• Lead a HVAC install team
• Conduct regular maintenance checks, including cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical components.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues, such as malfunctions, temperature inconsistencies, and unusual noises.
• Perform repairs, including component replacement, leak fixes, and electrical or mechanical troubleshooting.
• Communicate professionally with clients to explain issues, present solutions, and offer maintenance recommendations.
• Assess systems to recommend upgrades or modifications that enhance energy efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety standards, including OSHA regulations and local building codes.
• Maintain detailed service records, documenting maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
• Travel to residential sites to perform pre-installation site surveys and collect structural, electrical, windows, and HVAC-related data.
• Utilize drones, mobile applications, and measurement tools to document key information for project planning.
• Act as the primary on-site representative for the company during homeowner visits and select installation projects.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in HVAC preferred.
• EPA Certification for refrigerant handling is mandatory.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Residential Retrofit/changeout HVAC installation or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC codes and energy efficiency standards.
• Familiarity with HVAC tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
