LEAD JANITOR

Position Summary Details The Lead Janitor oversees the daily cleaning operations of a facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment. This role includes supervising janitorial staff, coordinating schedules, maintaining inventory of supplies, and performing hands-on cleaning duties. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in custodial work and team leadership. Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate janitorial staff and cleaning schedules. • Train new custodial employees and ensure compliance with safety and cleaning protocols. • Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met. • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing. • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management. • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. • Assist with special cleaning projects and event setups as needed. • Maintain records of cleaning activities and staff performance. Qualifications • Must be 18 years of age or older.
