Lead Janitor

Position Summary Details We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Janitor to oversee and participate in the daily cleaning and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate the work of janitorial staff. • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. • Inspect facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met. • Train new janitorial staff on cleaning procedures and safety protocols. • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; request restocking as needed. • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners. • Respond to urgent cleaning needs or maintenance issues. • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. • Prepare and submit reports on cleaning activities and staff performance. Qualifications • Must be 18 years of age or older.
