Kid Ventures Preschool Academy is looking to add to our already amazing and talented staff at our Liberty Station (Point Loma) location. We are seeking a talented and passionateToddler Teacherwho wants to be a part of our growing program. This is not your traditional preschool opportunity; Kid Ventures’ award-winning, creative childcare space provides an unparalleled foundation for children to learn & grow with a play-to-learn based approach. The ideal candidates will have experience teaching children ages 1 – 2 years old. He/she will be motivated by the twin challenges of (a) leading & engaging the young minds in the classroom, and (b) developing new skills & abilities amongst their students that will result in their successfully navigating their preschool journey. QUALIFICATIONS: • Meet California Childcare Licensing Requirements for Preschool Teachers, including infant/toddler class completion • Educational background with experience teaching and building/executing against lesson plans and implementing curriculum • A passion for learning with children and families in a preschool, with a firm commitment to a play-based-to-learn approach • Attention to detail and cleanliness...keeping things structured, consistent and clean is a must when serving children and families • Self-motivated, responsible multi-tasker • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Team player. willing & wanting to help & work with others; enjoys being part of a team and co-teaching with a partner • CPR/First Aid Certified ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide leadership within the classroom, in a “hands-on” way. • Provide for the care and safety of children in a loving, nurturing and supportive environment • Provide various experiences and activities for children including songs, games and storytelling for both classroom and outside time; excited by the idea of making curriculum concepts come alive through play & hands-on engagement • Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable and respected • Ensure that all classroom/outdoor equipment and supplies are in good and safe working order and are used and maintained properly • Interact with families, other staff, visitors and guests with friendliness, courtesy and respect Please submit your resume and cover letter - we look forward to hearing from you!
