Lead Python Engineer – Data Platforms

Our AI-powered ELT (Extract Load Transform) platform simplifies data workflows enabling organizations to extract insights faster automate repetitive tasks and unlock the true potential of their data.

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer (Python) you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering this innovation to our users. You’ll design and build high-performance backend services that make ELT operations easy efficient and accessible. Your expertise will directly influence product scalability reliability and user experience.

What You’ll Do

• Design build and maintain scalable backend services primarily in Python.

• Develop and enhance APIs ensuring they are secure performant and easy to use.

• Leverage AWS services (Lambda S3 DynamoDB Redshift RDS etc.) to deliver robust cloud-native solutions.

• Lead the design and implementation of new features ensuring scalability and reliability at every step.

• Collaborate with product design and QA to bring new ideas from concept to production.

• Improve automation and developer efficiency with modern CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform Serverless Framework).

• Mentor and support other developers raising the technical bar across the team.

What You Bring

Technical Expertise

• 7+ years of professional experience building backend applications with Python as your primary language.

• Solid background in building distributed cloud-native applications (AWS preferred).

• Familiarity with REST API design microservices and event-driven architectures.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for writing clean maintainable and testable code.

Collaboration & Communication

• Proven ability to work in remote cross-functional teams.

• Strong English communication skills.

• Experience mentoring reviewing code and providing technical leadership is a plus.

• This role requires employees to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours. While we are open to candidates from outside the EST time zone please be prepared to adjust your working hours to align with this time zone.
