Alteryx is searching for a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test to join our growing team. This is a remote-friendly position based out of Bengaluru.

Position Overview:

The Release lead with strong Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will join a team of highly passionate engineers who will be responsible for delivering and maintaining the Data Preparation products like Trifacta Classic at Alteryx

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that software releases are delivered efficiently on time, and with high quality, while managing risks and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders throughout the process.
• Working closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to plan the release schedule and scope of each release, ensuring all teams are aligned the timelines.
• Collaborating with QA team to ensure adequate test coverage and quality validation throughout the release cycle, verifying release readiness criteria are met before approving releases for deployment.
• Lead the testing efforts within a project or team, often coordinating the activities of other SDETs and Developers.
• Create, execute, track, and maintain manual and automated functional and regression test suites.
• Develop and maintain testing frameworks and utilities as needed to support testing activities.
• Provide detailed problem analysis to the development teams and help them driving the product quality.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and other team activities to ensure the quality of the codebase.
• Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and practices.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in Release activities as well as lead Software Quality Engineer.
• Master's/bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
• Strong product acumen.
• Experience with API/UI test automation, preferably with frameworks such as PyTest.
• Excellent designing and programming skills in any object-oriented language like Java, Python.
• Experience with testing REST APIs.
• Experience with web-based application testing using multiple browsers in different platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate successfully with both local and remote team members.

Valued Skills:

• Experience using GIT or equivalent SCM.
• Experience with applications and microservices hosted in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience with Python, PyTest framework.
• Knowledge of big data ecosystem, Datawarehouse, ETL etc.
