Job Summary: As the Lead Security Guard at a large multi-use property, you will play a vital leadership role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, businesses, staff, and visitors. Representing Guard West Security Services, you will serve as the primary on-site point of contact during operations, ensuring your team is performing effectively, security protocols are followed, and client expectations are consistently met. This position combines hands-on patrol duties with light supervisory responsibilities, offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for a motivated security professional who takes pride in visibility, professionalism, and proactive service. Key Responsibilities: • Lead Security Operations by setting the standard for professionalism, accountability, and performance during your shift. • Conduct Active Patrols (on foot and by vehicle) throughout residential, commercial, and public-use areas to deter incidents and ensure visible security presence. • Manage Access Control Procedures, ensuring only authorized personnel, residents, and visitors are granted entry. • Respond Promptly and Professionally to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, coordinating with other guards and management as needed. • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service while interacting with tenants, property staff, vendors, and the public—serving as a visible and approachable presence. • Generate Accurate and Timely Reports detailing observations, incidents, maintenance concerns, and guard activity during the shift. • Enforce Site Policies and Safety Protocols, ensuring compliance with property rules and Guard West standards. • Assist with Event Security and Crowd Control functions or special assignments, ensuring public safety and order. • Support and Guide On-Site Security Staff, helping with direction, delegation, and ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Valid California Guard Card • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
